Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) accused Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) of “organizing political violence and terrorism” in an X post alerting Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Crockett set off a number of MAGA figures after video was shared of her saying her only birthday wish was for Elon Musk to be “taken down.” The congresswoman made clear, however, that she was only promoting “non-violent” forms of protests. Crockett’s comments were made during a a livestream for the group #TeslaTakedown, which has organized protests outside of Tesla showrooms in recent weeks.

“I am truly here for very selfish reasons, starting with on March 29, it’s my birthday and all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down, yes!” she said. “Listen, I have learned as I’ve served on the DOGE Oversight Committee that there is only one language that the people that are in charge understand right now and that language is money.”

Most of the social media videos did not include Crockett making the “non-violent” part clear, though a graphic can be seen below her calling for people to join a “non-violent protest” against Musk. The clip was first shared by Laura Loomer who claimed it was “exclusive,” though the entire livestream can be found on YouTube. The livestream also included filmmakers and activists Alex Winter and John Cusack.

“Obviously, everything that I am promoting is non-violent,” Crockett said, calling for people to “engage in protest.”

The congresswoman was still accused of promoting domestic terrorism by Greene and others.

“A Member of Congress is organizing political violence and terrorism,” Greene wrote in an X post where she tagged Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel.

Musk himself responded to the short Loomer clip by simply saying, “Wow.”

Dave Rubin called it “absolutely insensitive rhetoric” during The Rubin Report, while Kayleigh McEnany also called out Crockett on Fox News for her “astonishing” words, though McEnany also noted that Crockett “insists she was peaceful.”

Tesla’s stock has recently stumbled as Musk’s work with DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) and President Donald Trump has earned blowback. Some protests have turned violent with arsonists and vandals targeting Tesla vehicles in multiple cities.
