FBI offers reward for information about man wanted in southern Utah homicide

(Courtesy FBI) The FBI is seeking information about the 2016 murder of Antonio Montowine.

The FBI is offering up to $1,000 for information on an April 14 homicide on the Navajo Nation reservation near Bluff — and it has released a drawing of the unknown man wanted in connection with the crime.

Antonio Montowine was shot and killed on the side of County Road 443/Indian Route 5060, about 2.5 miles from Highway 191 south of Bluff in southeast Utah. The suspect exited a white, newer-model, four-door pickup truck with “4x4” on the side, shot Montowine, then got back in the truck and left the area.

The man is described as American Indian; between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches tall; 150-170 pounds; with black and gray hair worn short on the sides and “faded” at the top. He was wearing a blue and brown plaid shirt and prescription, transition-lens glasses.

Anyone with information about the man is asked to contact the FBI’s Salt Lake City Field Office at 801-579-6189.
