The FBI has been doing some spring cleaning and has updated its list of most wanted suspected criminals.

Some of the crimes they are suspected of committing happened so long ago that the FBI has had to create age-enhanced mug shots of the alleged perpetrators.

All the people featured here should be considered potentially armed and dangerous, the FBI warns. And while it's a US agency after them, their whereabouts are unknown so really they could be anywhere on Earth.

Since the FBI began its most wanted programme in 1950, a total of 162 of the list of its ever-evolving 'ten most wanted' fugitives have been caught because of public assistance.

1. Robert William Fisher

Fisher was born in 1961 and is wanted on charges of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, three counts of first degree murder and arson of an occupied structure.

Here's a picture of Fisher in 1999

He allegedly killed his wife and two young children and blew up the house they shared in Scottsdale, Arizona in April 2001.

And this is what the FBI thinks he could look like now

2. William Bradford Bishop Jr

Bishop is the oldest suspect on the list. Born in 1935 he is wanted on charges of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and murder with a blunt instrument.

Bishop allegedly bludgeoned his 37-year-old wife, 68-year-old mother and three sons, aged 5, 10 and 14, to death in Bethesda, Maryland on March 1, 1976.

Bishop then allegedly moved all the bodies to Columbia, North Carolina, some 296 miles away, where he is suspected of having buried them in a shallow grave and lit them on fire.

3. Eduardo Ravelo

Ravelo is allegedly involved in the Barrio Azteca transnational gang and their money-laundering, racketeering and drug-related activities in El Paso, Texas.

The FBI isn't exactly sure of the year he was born; their best guesses are 1965, 1968 and 1969.

He is charged with conspiracy to conduct the affairs of an enterprise through a pattern of racketeering activity.

He's also charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess, with the intent to distribute, controlled substances, conspiracy to launder monetary instruments, conspiracy to kill persons in a foreign country and murder resulting from the use and carrying of a firearm during and in relation to crime of violence; and drug trafficking and murder in aid of racketeering activity.

That's quite a rap sheet, as the Americans would say.

But that's not all. He is also wanted for numerous murders in Juarez, Mexico, one of the world's most dangerous cities close to the US border. The town is an infamous hotbed of drug cartel warfare and horrific murders.

4. Alejandro Castillo

Alejandro Castillo in 2016

Castillo is charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, and murder.

Allegedly, he killed a female co-worker in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2016.

Her vehicle was found at a bus station in Phoenix, Arizona on August 15, 2016.

However, her body was found in a wooded area in Cabarrus County, North Carolina with a gunshot wound to the head - that's a distance of over 2,000 miles from Phoenix.

5. Yaser Abdel Said

Wanted for multiple charges of capital murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, Said is wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of his own teenage daughters.

The two girls died of multiple gunshot wounds on New Year's Day (January 1) in 2008 in Irving, Texas.

6. Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel

Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel allegedly killed his wife as they worked at a doughnut shop

Wanted for first and second degree murder, first and second degree assault and for a dangerous weapon with intent to injure, Patel allegedly murdered his wife by striking her multiple times with an object while they worked at a doughnut shop.

The alleged murder took place in Hanover, Maryland on April 12, 2015.

7. Jason Derek Brown

Brown has a masters degree in international business and speaks fluent French

Brown allegedly shot an armoured car guard outside a cinema in November 2004.

The guard was killed and Brown allegedly fled with money and has been charged with first degree murder, armed robbery and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

The former Mormon speaks fluent French and has a masters degree in international business studies - so presumably he's selling baguettes in Quebec?

8. Santiago Villabla Mederos

Santiago Villalba Mederos

Mederos is believed to be a gang member who allegedly committed murder by killing a 20-year-old girl and seriously wounding her brother after firing shots "randomly" into a car.

He is wanted for conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree, unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree and murder in the second degree.

He is also wanted for incidents that took place just outside Seattle, in Tacoma, Washington, 2010 - including an occasion in which he allegedly fired a gun at a crowd of people, killing a 21-year-old man.

9. Alexis Flores

Flores is wanted on suspicion of kidnapping and the murder of a five-year-old girl in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the year 2000.

The girl was reported missing and later found strangled to death in a nearby apartment.

10. *CAPTURED* Jesus Roberto Munguia

Munguia was wanted for the alleged murder and kidnapping of his own wife in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2008.

He was arrested in February of this year after a member of the public recognised him from the FBI's wanted poster.
