FBI, Police Seek Public's Help Identifying South Side Bank Robber

SOUTH SIDE (KDKA) -- The FBI and Pittsburgh Police are trying to identify a man who disguised himself in a wig and robbed a South Side bank Monday morning.

It happened at the Dollar Bank in the 1700 block of East Carson Street around 10:15 a.m.

In the surveillance pictures, the man can be seen approaching a teller, pulling out a knife, and then leaving the counter with a blue bag. At one point, it looks like the man drops something on the ground, then he's seen walking out the door.

Police say he was last seen taking off towards Sarah Street with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build who is between 5-feet-10-inches and 6-feet tall, weighing approximately 150 to 160 pounds.

At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a wig and sunglasses.

Anyone with information on this robbery should contact the FBI Pittsburgh Field Office at 412-432-4000, Pittsburgh Police or the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office. Tips can be made anonymously.

This is the second time the Dollar Bank has been robbed in the past few months. Back in April, police arrested Joel Velazquez-Reyes and Alexandra Osche after they say Velazquez-Reyes robbed the bank at gunpoint. Osche allegedly drove a getaway car.
